Children’s Missions (Mission Friends, Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors) meet Sunday, October 14, at 11:10am.

Fredericksburg Area Baptist Network’s Annual Meeting &Free Concert, Sunday, October 14 at 6:00pm at Salem Baptist Church FABN invites you and your friends to a Musical Concert by Squire Parsons. Squire is a prolific songwriter. In 1981, his song, Sweet Beulah Land was voted “Favorite Song of the Year” by the Singing News. Other gospel classics written by him include Master of the Sea, Oh What a Moment, The Broken Rose, He Came to Me, I Call It Home and I Go to the Rock. In 2013 he was one of several songwriters given then “Harmony Honors Award” for his outstanding contributions to gospel Music as a songwriter.

WMU Meeting is scheduled for October 15, at 6:30pm.  This month we are preparing Fall Cards for our college students.  Please bring a $10 gift card from any fast food restaurant.  Donations can also be made to the College Ministry (line item #1502) by anyone wanting to participate.

Senior Adult Potluck We invite all adults  (55 and over) to join us on Friday, October 19, at noon for potluck.  Please bring sides and desserts to go with soup and salad.  If you have questions please contact Edna Dobson, Lori Minter, or Traci Rongey.

Preparing for Thanksgiving Food Baskets Food collection will begin Sunday, October 28 and end on November 18. Cash or check donations are always welcome for those who prefer not to shop.
We provide 20 baskets for Social Services and 10 additional baskets for suggested families within our church family or others who would greatly appreciate the support.
If you need a basket for someone, please tell Belinda Cameron, Sandy Berry or Judy Purks, no later than November 4.

Harvest Party, Sunday, October 28
Time: 4:00pm, Food is served at 4:30pm
Place: 10114 Marengo Farm Lane, King George
Bring: Finger foods/desserts, chairs, jackets
Activities: Trunk-or-Treat, Popcorn, Pumpkin Carving Contest, Hayrides, Pony Rides, Cake Walk, Games
Church will provide: Hot dogs, chips and drinks.
Pumpkin Carving Contest: Anyone who thinks their jack-o-lantern is the best, have it there by 5pm for judging!! This is church wide!! The more the merrier!!! No need to sign up; just be there!
Cake Walk – Bring in some cakes/cupcakes/pies, etc.!!! No need to sign up, just drop it off at the table!!
Trunk Or Treat – If you would like to participate, please park your car behind the barn and have your trunk decorated and ready by 5:30pm for the judging. ! If you do not want to decorate, no worries you can bring a bag of candy to hand out to the kids. This is church wide, no need to sign up.
Check with your Sunday School, or other ministry programs, for activities they are sponsoring. If YOU would like to volunteer for games or other support, please contact:  Tina Rogers or Donna Barnum.

Attend the Baptist General Association of Virginia Annual Meeting, November 12-14, 2018 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 11220 Nuckols Road, Glen Allen. Please contact Tim Portner, Donna Barnum, or Jim Vaught if you would like to be a “Messenger” allowing you to vote. Tod Bolsinger, author of Canoeing the Mountains: Christian Leadership in Unchartered Territory, is the featured speaker.
