Adult Potluck & Fellowship – Friday, August 16 All adults are invited to join us in the Fellowship Hall for potluck and fellowship. If you have questions please see Katrina Minter or Helen Goerlitz.

GA Pool Party All girls in grades 1-6 are invited to a pool party Saturday, August 17 from 3:00-5:00 pm at the home of Shirley Pitts. Each girl should bring a Walmart gift card ($10 or $20) for our Christmas in August missionary, Nehemiah Cole in Baltimore, Maryland. Bring a snack to share, if you like! SING! Conference Eight choir members and deacons are in Nashville, TN, this week at the Getty’s SING! Conference.Please keep this group in prayer as they learn and grow in their personal worship and in leading others in worship.

Addresses Wanted for College & Military Members College starts for many in August. Once again we will minister to our college students by sending cards and treats several times a year. We would like to also update addresses for our military members. Please submit new and updated addresses to the church office email.

Round Hill Church Sexton Position If you have a desire to serve Round Hill as Church Sexton please see Joe Minter to obtain a copy of the job responsibilities. Please let Joe know by August 25, if you are interested in being considered for this position.

Youth Weekend Retreat All girls in grades 7-12 are invited to a weekend retreat at CrossRoads Camp & Conference Center, September 20-22. The theme is Belove(d) centered on 1 Corinthians16:14, “Let all that you do be done in love.”
The cost is $74 and includes a t-shirt, meals and staying in the cabin–bed and bath linens are not provided. Events include worship led by Red Letter Society, breakout sessions, high ropes course, giant swing, Friday night rally, games and prizes.
If you are interested in going, please give Lori Minter a check by Sunday, August 25 payable to Round Hill Baptist Church in the amount of $74 with line item 3340 on the memo line. Also, give Lori your t-shirt size. Sizes are adult extra small, small, medium, large, extra large, 2XL or 3XL.

Round Hill Homecoming – Sunday, August 25, 2019
9:30am – Worship Service will be in the Fellowship Hall. Dr. John V. Upton, Jr. will be our guest speaker.
10:45am – Sunday School 
12:00pm – Potluck in the Fellowship Hall.
1:30pm a free concert in the Fellowship Hall features North Carolina based Joshua Messick, 2003 National Hammered Dulcimer Champion. Joshua breathes new life into his ancient, enchanting instrument. He is a composer and innovator influenced by Celtic, Word, Renaissance, Folk, and Classical music.

WMU Meeting – Monday, August 26, at 6:30pm All ladies are invited. WMU will study intercity missionaries here in the USA. A night of mission study, prayer and action — and maybe a taste of Chicago deep dish pizza!
We will make back-to-school bookmarks and treats bags for the school nurses in King George and Colonial Beach.
Please bring a packaged treat such as boxes of granola bars, tea bags, water mix-ins, candy or chips to help fill the bags.

Students Promotion Sunday – September 1 Youth and children eligible to move up to the next age or grade level in Sunday School will promote on Sunday, September 1. Children in Mission Friends, GAs and RAs will also move up in September.

Children’s Choir  Registration will be at 6pm on Wednesday, September 4, at a church-wide ice cream social to kick off our new choir year.


Weather Cancellations Information
Round Hill’s weather cancellations will be posted and announced on the church website, Facebook page (RHBC), radio station 93.3 (WFLS), and through the deacon phone tree
